Salad Bowl Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 gm sliced lotus stem
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • oil for deep frying
  • 3 tbsp grated raw mango
  • 2 tbsp grated carrot
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 3 shredded pineapple slices
  • 2 tbsp chopped mint
  • 2 chopped green chillies

Dressing
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp spring onion paste
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard
  • pinch sugar
  • 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper

    Method

    Coat sliced stem with corn flour and Deep fry until crisp. Combine with remaining salad ingredients. To prepare dressing, whisk ingredients together. Season well. Coat salad items. Press into a bowl and turn out.
